Description: This dataset represents Utah's federally and state listed threatened, endangered, and sensitive animal and plant species occurrences as compiled by the Utah Natural Heritage Program (UNHP) of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Occurrences are originally mapped at a scale of 1:24,000, and they are then depicted as their representative 7.5 minute topographic quad map for display in this dataset. The information contained within was taken from the UNHP Biotics database system. Original localities were compiled from recorded documentation indicating locations of certain rare species. Information provided on each occurrence in this dataset includes species name, 7.5' topographic quad name, UNHP species rank, date of last observation, level of certainty regarding the identification of the species, state and federal status of the species, and the citation of references used to map the occurrence.
