This service contains two layers:<div><br /><div><b>Functional Class 2025:</b> A draft final version of the 2025 Highway Functional Classification. Use the <b><i>Functional Class Status</i></b> field to query road segments that have been 'Updated' or 'Unchanged'. Field <i><b>2025 FC</b></i> tracks the new functional class, while 2024 FC contains the previous functional class. Other fields document local government, MPO, and UDOT decisions and rationale for accepting or rejecting proposed changes. </div><div><br /></div><div><b>Functional Class Change Tracking</b>: This layer contains all proposed functional class changes and updates collected during the update process. Use the <b><i>Final Status</i></b> field to identify the final decision for each proposed change. Each proposed change was reviewed multiple times by local governments, regional planning organiztions (MPOs), and UDOT. Decisions are tracked in the comments and notes.</div><div><br /></div><div>Final Status values include:</div><div><ul><li>Validated- recommended change is accepted by MPO and UDOT;</li><li>Rejected - recommended change NOT accepted by MPO or UDOT;</li><li>Modified - proposed change NOT accepted, but a change is still recommended by MPO or UDOT;</li><li>Geometry - a geometry change is needed to accommodate roadway realignments.</li></ul><div>This service was published to support the final review and approval of the 2025 Functional Classification. <span style='font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;'>This content is intended for use during the summer and fall of 2025 for review purposes.
